Fashion Publicity Careers

Fashion publicity is the assistance given to apparel companies and retail stores to build a desired image in order to reach their target audience and the maintaining of that image by using a variety of creative promotions.



Public Relations Agent:

Duties: The public relations agents more commonly called public relations specialists and publicists assist apparel companies and retail stores to build a more favorable image.

Qualifications: The candidate for this career should possess knowledge of journalistic basics including the proper format for news releases. They should also have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; good interpersonal skills, good time management skills, and the ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to work under pressure. The candidate should also have completed an internship or have some experience working at a publication for fashion or other media outlet.
