Looking For Scissors To Cut V In Fabric Have You Seen These?

(Pat)

Question:

I have seen a scissors or clipper type of tool that cuts the V in fabric for when you're trying to make inner or outer curved borders turn neatly and create a smooth outside edge. Help, I can't seem to locate these and don't know what to call them.. Do you have such an item??

Thanks, Pat

Answer:

Unfortunately I haven't seen either a scissors or clipper for sewing that fits this description, unless this is a new item in development, but I don't recall even hearing of this item. Also, at present this is an informational site, and doesn't engage in direct sales of sewing supplies, and I haven't seen this type of item on the web at any of the sewing supplies vendors either. Perhaps another visitor to the site has seen this item and can assist us.

Tile and Grout Cleaning
by: Raymond Diaz

When hiring a carpet cleaning company, make certain you do some research and in finding one that has a just right fame. Speak to your household and neighbors to seek out one who worked for them. That could be a good situation to begin. Search on-line for stories from others who've used a service previously if you happen to do not know anybody who has used a Pasadena Carpet Cleaning organization... And one more think is ordinary cleansing methods, such as mopping and vacuuming, usually are not sufficient for tile and grout cleaning. Probably cleaning the lines of grout will also be tough on the back and slightly tedious. Invest some time inTile and Grout Cleaning Pasadena, and then seal them for lengthy-lasting results. Always seal the grout and keep the seal for beauty in an effort to final years.

The only alternative cutters that cut notches, area unit known as pattern notchers. They area unit used once you are drafting stitching patterns. Similar to you see within the commercially created patterns, solely it really cuts the notch, rather than exploitation scissors.

Sewing Scissors-Pinking Shears
by: Monica

Hi all,
I hope I can shed some light on the original question.

If indeed you are looking for pinking shears, they are easily found on Amazon or Nancy notions etc. Just type in Pinking Shears into your browsers.

What they are used for initially is to stop frey from happening to your seams. I use them but not to make the sewing of curves easier, and I don't often use them, as I have a serger.

You can easily clip curved seams with your regular scissors.

The only other cutters that cut notches, are called pattern notchers. They are used when you are drafting sewing patterns. Just like you see in the commercially made patterns, only it actually cuts the notch, instead of using scissors.

Other than these suggestions, I too, don't know of any other such cutting tool.

Hope this was helpful.

Happy Sewing
Monica
